5-12 Interactive Plot Display 969895 eZ-Analyst
A strip chart has two display modes. These are
Single-Channel and Multi-Channel.
To select the strip chart’s mode:
1. Right-click within the strip chart.
2. Position the mouse-cursor over the text “Display
Mode.”
3. Select Single Channel of Multi-Channel, as desired.
Single Channel – When this mode is selected the strip chart will show 4 traces for a single
channel. The traces are for maximum values, minimum values, the mean, and RMS. The top
plot display in the preceding figure illustrates the single channel mode.
Multi-Channel – When this mode is selected the strip chart will show one or more channels,
as determined by the user. When in multi-channel mode, only traces of the maximum values
for each channel will be displayed. An example of a strip chart with two channels follows.

Overlays of XLS Files
eZ-Analyst allows you to overlay an Excel (XLS) file within a
function view, providing that the data type is in agreement with
that in the view. For example, a function view with an x-axis in
Time will not accept an overlay in which the x-axis is frequency.
Likewise, the units (y-axis) must also be compatible.
To overlay an Excel file:
1. Right-Click on the channel button.
2. Select “Overlay XLS File.” The Import Overlay
Function Data Set(s) window will open.
3. Browse for the applicable file. Remember
that the file’s data type must match that of
the data in the function view.
4. Select and open the file.
If the file is compatible, the XLS file will overlay into the display.
If it is not compatible a message box will inform you of the mismatch.
(1) Right-Click on the
Channel Button
(2) Select “Overlay XLS
File.”
